Some heroes started out as villains (Rogue of the X-Men, Hawkeye of the Avengers), but plenty of good guys went bad. Some of them went very, very bad, such as the Green Lantern destroying his hometown and killing all of the Green Lantern Corps.

When you get a mascot for your child's birthday party, Batman's a good choice. But whatever you do, DON'T get director Christopher Nolan's Batman. He's a little intense.
